Random item today...Saw this on Instructables. A guy has built a 'pinball machine' from bits of old crap he had lying around! In fairness it actually looks like he knows how to control the ball.
He made me laugh when commenting about uploading the video to YouTube.
"After getting this uploaded to youtube, I saw that there were a lot of homemade pinball machines out there, and most of them make mine look really crappy!"
I guess it's no Coconut Island, but fair play to the guy and much better than I could do! Click the first pic or here to have a look at the project.

It's always the way isn't it? Doesn't matter what you do in life, no matter how great you are at it, there is ALWAYS someone out there better than you at it...
At an open weekend last year it was nice to see a bunch of really young kids making pinball machines (of sorts) out of wireforms and bits of old crap lying around! Of course the rule-sets were pretty weak, hell the things didn't even have flippers, but was cool to see the 'rival' projects being built.
