Thanks to Phil on the (free) Yahoo UK Pinball Group, who spotted this little gem...
Pinball Factory for sale. £25!
I thought someone was having a dig at the non-pinball factorium down under, but it turns out it's even worse!
Someone is selling 6 months membership to an internet forum for £25. I guess an internet forum that offers much less than the many similar FREE offerings all around the web.
With Pinball News, Rec.Games.Pinball, the UK group and of course, this most excellent blog, there's really no need for a paid-for service but I'm sure he'll reel in some sucker or another.
Cheers
Nick

It never fails to amaze me the number of people who pay for things like information, that are so freely available on the 'web. These days it seems no one can be bothered to spend that 5 minutes of time to just look!
Hi guys that would be me your talking about. I have set up this little site to appeal to the guys like me who are constantly getting ripped off by the likes of ebay. I must have lost over £1000 in fees this year selling second hand machines and just though it would be a good idea, sorry if you guys dont approve.

Hi Ron. I think the issue people have is there are FREE versions of what you are offering all over the web. Anyone who signs us is clearly clueless, although I guess if you didn't have their £25, they'd be getting phished for their bank details by email.
Why not have it free and perhaps have some adwords/adverts to give you something. The guys on the uk pinball group say your site looks nice, but it will never take off to any degree while it's a pay to play service.
Hi guys please excuse my ignorance, and Nick thanks for you advice, I have taken on board everything you have said and its now free I am in the process of updating as we speak I would really appreciate good coments and maybee some free pushing to help getting it off the ground.
Thanks the latest villan :-(
Ron
Great stuff Ron! How about a 'general chat' section for people to wax lyrical and introduce themselves.
